Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone who belongs here.

Last reviewed 5 October 2026.

Plainly: if something on this site or in a Tuesday session does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it or work around it. You do not need to explain why, and you do not need a diagnosis to ask.

Ask for what you need

The registration form has a free-text box for accommodations, and anything you write there is used to make a session work for you and for nothing else. You can also write to registrations@milspouseu.org at any time — before you register, after, or an hour before a session starts.

Tell us what would help rather than what is wrong. We would rather arrange the right thing than guess at it.

What is built in

Checked in the code rather than assumed:

What we have not done

We have not had a formal accessibility audit, and we do not claim conformance to any standard. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a target and we test as we go, but nobody independent has been through this site, and we would rather say so than print a badge we have not earned. If you hit something that does not work, you are not doing it wrong.

Sessions on Zoom

Sessions run on Zoom, which is a third-party platform with its own accessibility features and its own limits. If you need something specific to join or take part — captions, a dial-in number, materials in advance, anything else — ask us and we will arrange what we can. Ask early where you can, so there is time to set it up properly rather than in the five minutes before we start.

Telling us something is broken

Write to registrations@milspouseu.org. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If you use a screen reader, a magnifier, voice control or anything else, naming it helps us reproduce the problem — but it is not required.

A real person reads every message, and we will tell you what we are going to do about it rather than only that we received it.
